Financial services are essential for improving the quality of life, and access to these services is a basic right. Serving diverse customers well isn’t just a “good to do thing”—it’s a smart business move. 

Many providers tend to focus on familiar and conventional segments perceived to have high purchasing power and digital adoption potential, such as urban high-earning males and large businesses. Legacy systems and traditional strategies may unintentionally overlook the potential of underserved segments. Organizations often face challenges in understanding the nuanced needs of these populations, which can limit their ability to effectively serve them. 


From the customer’s view, financial services often fall short in meeting their unique needs. Products often lack flexibility, transaction costs are high, and customer experience does not align with their unique contexts and preferences.
